UTA is opening a new "Red Line" the will begin August 7, however, you can get a chance to try it on August 3 for FREE with a can of food that will be donated to the Utah Food Bank.
“Communities along the new line will host celebrations on August 3 throughout the day at select stations (one of the new stations on either the Mid-Jordan or West Valley line). After partying at the station of your choice, you can hop on board TRAX and try out the new line. UTA and the Utah Food Bank are partnering in the “Food for Fare” food drive. Just contribute a canned food item as your fare for riding the new lines that day. Train rides will start at 9 a.m. and go every 15 minutes to about 11 p.m. So come celebrate, help the hungry and enjoy the ride!”
My kids are always asking to ride the train - this could be fun for the kids and help them learn the value of giving.
